ANNOUNCEMENT

Beginning with the Madrid event, SLVP will have a Non-competitive TOURING CLASS at all SLVP events.

The TOURING CLASS is an open class for every age and type of paddler and every type of canoe or kayak. All participants in the Touring Class will start together and complete the course in their own fashion. They will receive t-shirts and other amenities as do those in the racing classes. There will be no awards or ranking of finish times for participants in the Touring Class although finish times will be available.

The goal of this program is to help grow the sport and enourage people to enjoy the local waterways through paddlesport and the camraderie of other paddlers. .

Distances will vary according to the race venue.
Madrid - 6 miles
Rem II- 6 miles

Great racing is not the only thing on the Grasse River in Canton. This Muskie, 44" and 21# was cought at Taylor Park in August. Taylor Park is the start-finish of the Rushton Races and Canton Canoe Weekend.
